Taking care of the environment is more than just reducing, reusing and recycling. There's a lot to learn that you can help with. Just remember, you CAN make a difference!

The Horry County School District has approved these presentations that correlate to South Carolina's Science Standards.

Spotlight on South Carolina:

South Carolina public schools, colleges, universities and state agencies spent over $145 million on energy in 1998. Electircity accounted for 84% of this expense, while natural gas accounted for 13%. (source: Energy Use in South Carolina's Public Facilities, Fiscal Year 1998.)

In South Carolina, the U.S. Postal Service uses re-refined oil, recycled tires and recycled batteries in each of its 1,800 plus vehicles.
